Kevin Costner Finally Comes Clean About That Ghastly “Pro-Liz Cheney” T-Shirt He Wore

A lot of people were really disgusted when Kevin Costner came out of the closet as a Liz Cheney fan. Although, I don’t know if he’s really a “fan” of hers or just another TDS celebrity who can’t think straight because he hates President Trump so much. Kevin, who stars on the hit show “Yellowstone,” decided to explain finally why he wore that t-shirt, and heads up — if you already thought he was a jackass you’ll really think he’s an idiot now.

But now, Kevin is not only doubling down on his Cheney support, but he’s also saying that he knew Liz wasn’t going to win, but he wore the shirt because he wanted to show his support for all her “common sense” leadership.

Oh, give me a break. Yep, this guy has Stage 5 TDS. 

He also doesn’t care what you think, or if it bothers you that he got “political.” He couldn’t care less what his fans think.

Why should he?

He has a hit show, and he knows you’ll keep watching, no matter what he does.

The Daily Wire reported that superstar Kevin Costner said he doesn’t care if people like him or not due to his political support of various candidates, and he explained that he’s got exactly zero plans to run for office.

The 67-year-old actor responded to the criticism he faced after he threw support behind Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming) in the state’s Republican primary in August, USA Today recently reported.  In a photo on Cheney’s Twitter, the Academy-award winning star posed wearing a white T-shirt that read, “I’m for Liz Cheney.”

“Just because you lose doesn’t mean you’re done; it doesn’t mean you’re even wrong,” Costner shared. “I was clear that [Cheney] probably wasn’t going to win her election. But I wanted to let her know, as a citizen, how much I appreciated her brave, clear-headed stance.”

“I didn’t really care how the cookie crumbles, that people that liked me now don’t like me,” he added. “That’s OK.”

The “Yellowstone” star then answered whether he could ever see himself making a run for a seat after his character on the show, John Dutton, ran for Montana governor and (SPOILER) won.

“No, I don’t think there’s any reason for me to run,” Costner explained. “Though I wish the people that did run had a bigger vision and more of a morality about how they see the country evolving. I’m disappointed.”

“Yellowstone” first hit Paramount in 2018 and has been a fan favorite since. Season 5 of the hit series premiered on Sunday, November 13.

Later, Costner declined whether to answer whether he was ready to sign up for a sixth season.

“I was only going to do one season, but I’ve done this many,” the actor explained.  “I give everything I can to what I’m doing. But the moment I feel that it’s not right, I’m just going to step away.”

The creator of the hit series, Taylor Sheridan, recently shut down the idea that the show is meant for conservatives, as The Daily Wire previously reported.

“They refer to it as ‘the conservative show’ or ‘the Republican show’ or ‘the red-state Game of Thrones,’  Sheridan said. “And I just sit back laughing. I’m like, ‘Really?’ The show’s talking about the displacement of Native Americans and the way Native American women were treated and about corporate greed and the gentrification of the West, and land-grabbing. That’s a red-state show?”

Wow. Sounds like the folks who star on and run the show “Yellowstone” really dislike their core audience, doesn’t it?
