They claimed that the individual’s statements had resulted in various forms of harassment directed towards them. According to a report by Politico, the jury reached a decision regarding the compensation for the plaintiffs in a defamation case. It was determined that each plaintiff should receive $16 million for defamation, $20 million for emotional distress, and an additional $75 million in punitive damages.
