It is that wonderful time of year when many well-produced political ads have graced us with their presence on television and social media.
Here are some of the ones released in the last couple of days from the Lincoln Project, the DNC, and the campaigns for Katie Hobbs, Kris Mayes, and Kathy Hoffman.
This first ad from the Lincoln Project called “Flaunting Their Racism” shows Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville and Georgia “Representative” Marjorie Censured Taylor Greene disgustingly showcasing replacement theory to their brainwashed white nationalist followers by saying their culture would be taken away by criminal minority elements and illegal aliens.
This Lincoln Project Ad, called “Republican Socialists” shows the hypocrisy of Trump Republicans like Paul Gosar who voted against legislation like the American Rescue Plan and the Bipartisan Infrastructure and then write to the White House, asking for funding for their district’s pet projects.
Another Lincoln Project Ad called “Blake Masters, Liar Extraordinaire,” shows a Fox Reporter of all people, calling out the Arizona Republican Senate Candidate for his lies and evasions about taking embarrassing information off his website, his views on the 2020 election, and his idiotic focus on Hunter Biden.
The final Lincoln Project Ad called “What they Believe” reminds viewers that all Republicans running for the House and Senate have said they would support Donald Trump, despite all that has happened in the last six years, if he was their Presidential Nominee in 2024. The ad ends with an ending comment from 2020, “This November, the choice is simple: America or Trump.”
The DNC ad starts by showcasing the horrific avenue the Trump-MAGA Republican Party (with its noted figures like Kevin McCarthy, Matt Gaetz, and Marjorie Taylor Greene) has gone in voting against reproductive freedom, marriage equality, and the January 6 Commission. The ad ends with President Biden optimistically speaking of the possibilities of what can be accomplished (like the American Rescue Plan, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Gun Safety Legislation, the CHIPS Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act) when Democrats, Independents, and Mainstream Republicans band together.
In Arizona, the Katie Hobbs campaign just released a new ad called “Tested” which shows voters that the Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate knows what it is like to make ends meet and she has developed economic programs to help lift people up.
Attorney General Nominee Kris Mayes released an ad where she tells the voters she will work to stop the sweet deal Saudi Arabia has to pump water to farm alfalfa and ship it back to their country for free.
Water. It’s our most precious natural resource and must be protected. The sweetheart deals Gov. Ducey & State Land Dept. have given to private, foreign-owned companies needs to end. These deals must be investigated. As your next AG, I will protect AZ’s water supplies + people. pic.twitter.com/1pxDwwRPFR

Finally, Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman has released an ad touting her achievements while in office including adding counselors/mental health professionals, increasing funding for special education, and helping start the first teacher residency program.
I’m a mom & an educator. In my 1st term as AZ’s top education official, I’ve:
✅ Funded hundreds of school counselor positions
✅ Worked across the aisle for new special ed funding
✅ Created AZ’s first-ever Teacher Residency Program
I hope to earn your vote for a 2nd term! pic.twitter.com/yPtI8325YF

The Superintendent has also been instrumental in partnering with Donors Choose three times so instructions can get much-needed supplies and projects for the classroom for free. She has also helped launch the Final Mile Project which expands broadband to schools in need of internet access.
The themes of these ads are:
- Many Trump Republicans harbor racist tendencies.
- Most Republicans are the real moochers of political society, not willing to do the hard work of passing legislation to help their communities, but always first in line for a plate of federal dollars to fund their district’s pet projects.
- Democrats are the real law and order party.
- Republicans have become a party of election deniers, science obtuseness, Trump-MAGA white nationalist Fascists, and anti-democratic, women, and civil rights.
- Democrats fight to lift people up and move society forward. Republicans fight to bring people down and move the country backward.
Voters need to watch these ads and remember these themes when voting for candidates up and down the ballot on November 8, 2022.
